Ashburn Elementary School On Alert, a Firearm Man Appeared

A resident called the sheriff’s office Monday morning to report seeing a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm.

 

Ashburn’s Discovery Elementary School was secured on Monday morning as a precaution as Loudoun deputies searched the area, reportedly for an armed man, who was walking near the school. A firearm man was not found and review of external surveillance video from local businesses, even didn’t capture any suspicious activity, it was told by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday in a report.

 

According to media reports, a resident called the sheriff’s office at 9:22 a.m. on Monday morning, to report that he was seeing a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm, while he was crossing the Ashburn Village Boulevard between the Michener Drive and the Grace Bridge Drive. As described by the resident, that man was a white male with short hair and wearing a camouflage jacket.

 

The school located at 44020 Grace Bridge Drive, Discovery Elementary School, was placed on a secure the building status as a precaution as deputies investigated the report of the man carrying a gun.
