Son of al-Qaeda founder “Hamza Bin Laden” died in an air strike; US media

It’s been just reported by BBC that the son of al-Qaeda founder Osama Bin Laden, Hamza Bin Laden, died in an air strike, the US media outlets report, citing the intelligence officials. Up till now, the place and date of the death were unclear. When BBC try to reach Pentagon to get the details on it, they did not comment.

When asked by the reporters on Wednesday whether the U.S. had intelligence that the Hamza is dead, The President Donald Trump said, “I don’t want to comment on that.”

The last known public statement of Hamza bin Laden was released by al Qaeda’s media arm, back in 2018. He threatened the Saudi Arabia and called on people of the Arabian peninsula to revolt, in that message.
