Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) vice president of human resources and head of diversity Felicia Mayo has left company.

Tesla Motors is known as a mission-driven company and being a hard-driving workplace with lot of pressure to hit the ambitious goals and deadlines that are set by CEO Elon Musk. These strict conditions to meet deadlines have also led to a high level of churn, among Tesla Motors Inc’s executives, among others things, in recent years.

There are less than 0.5% of Silicon Valley tech leadership positions, which are held by black women, and Mayo is one of a few black women leaders, who rise to executive ranks.

Mayo previously served at Juniper Networks as a vice president of global talent acquisition and the diversity, then came at Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) for less than two years. She was directly reported to Tesla’s vice president of people and places, Kevin Kassekert and CEO Elon Musk.

A Tesla spokesperson told, “We’ll miss Felicia and would like to thank her for her hard work over the last two years and wish her all the best in the future. We have a talented HR team in place that will continue to report into our VP of People & Places and will remain focused on advancing our mission and making Tesla a great place to work.”
